Gary Walker is a writer, editor, musician, and writing coach who lives with his wife Shannon in Chickasaw, Alabama. He writes humor, science fiction, urban fantasy, and literary fiction, and his short fiction and nonfiction have been featured in such publications as Oracle Fine Arts Review, Lullwater Review, and Aoife’s Kiss.
Walker earned a master’s in English from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Spalding University. For the past ten years, he has worked as a freelance writer, a guitarist, teacher, writing coach, and editor, producing work for projects as diverse as commercials, DVDs, public service announcements, memoirs, and a medical school.
Walker is editor-and-chief and head writer for the Court Street Literary Collective and teaches writing and literature at the University of South Alabama and Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama. He is currently at work on a new novel, Visitation: A Novel of Death and Inconvenience.

Since earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Troy University, Shannon Walker has built over 15 years of media relations, marketing, and publicity experience. As a publicist, she has created and directed comprehensive publicity campaigns for Grammy® Award, Dove and Stellar award-winning artists and albums.
She has also provided media representation for numerous music artists, including Lincoln Brewster, John Mark McMillan, Jonathan Nelson, Kari Jobe, Israel Houghton, Mary Mary and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
